Overview
The HP ProLiant ML350 G5 Storage Server is Network Attached Storage (NAS) solution built upon proven fifth generation HP ProLiant server technology and the Windows Storage Server 2003 Release 2 (WSS2003 R2) operating system. The ML350 G5 Storage Server delivers a versatile, simple-to-manage, high performing and reliable networked attached storage server ideal for small and medium businesses or branch office locations. Because the hardware is pre-configured and the software is pre-installed the storage server can be deployed quickly and easily.

The HP ProLiant ML350 G5 Storage Server offers a redundant OS partition and quick-restore functionality via DVD for system protection and recovery.

HP ProLiant ML350 G5 Storage Server is available in three models based on capacity. All models use internal SATA hard disk drives and is available with 960GB, 1.5TB or 3TB of raw capacity. Actual user storage capacity is dependent upon the storage configuration set up by the user.

The ML 350 G4 includes Integrated Lights Out 2 (iLO2) and remote management capabilities in all models.

The ML350 G5 Storage Server comes in four different capacities; 960GB, 1.5TB or 3TB SATA models or a 1.8TB SAS model. Actual user capacity depends on the user storage configuration.
  • Large capacity expansion with external storage enclosures: Buy what you need today and expand later as your business grows with a wide variety of external storage enclosures that support SATA, SCSI or Fibre Channel-based Hard Disk Drives.
  • Preconfigured hardware: Operating System drives and RAID preconfigured for out of the box 'plug and play' installation.
  • Preinstalled Windows Storage Server 2003 Release 2 Operating System: Pre-installed OS with support multiple file protocols; full Windows integration with Active Directory; built-in “Snapshot” capability with Virtual Shadow Copy Service (VSS); quotas and file screening; and additional storage reporting capabilities are included.
  • Dual-core Intel Xeon processor technology: Dual-core processor provides excellent performance for the most demanding file and print serving requirements; add a second processor for even greater performance capability.
  • Quiet operation: Reduced operating noise for office based deployments.
  • 5U tower form factor: Space saving design for deployment in non-rack environments, optional racking kit is available.
