Business-class DSL and Ethernet Routers Equipped with a Variety of Interfaces
The 3Com Router 3000 DSL and Ethernet Family provides all of the components needed to give remote office and tele-workers secure, reliable, cost-effective access to the Internet or corporate networks over a DSL connection.

Each router includes a four-port switch for local LAN connections; some have an integrated ISDN BRI S/T backup port. The 64MB DRAM, 8MB flash memory, and operating software support a full complement of routing, integrated security, and quality of service features required by today's remote office.

All of these routers are equipped with a full complement of memory and routing functionality; there are no hardware, memory or software upgrades required or available—everything a business needs is included with the base system.

The 3Com Router 3030 and Router 3031 operate over ordinary analog phone lines (POTS - Plain Old Telephone Service) using ADSL, so you don't have to invest in additional phone lines or special wiring. The ISDN BRI S/T port in the Router 3031 can be used as a primary or backup port to the broadband ADSL connection.

The 3Com Router 3040 and Router 3041 operate over ordinary analog phone lines (POTS - Plain Old Telephone Service) using ADSL, ADSL2 or ADSL2+, so you don't have to invest in additional phone lines or special wiring. The ISDN BRI S/T port in the Router 3041 can be used as a primary or backup port to the broadband ADSL connection.

The 3Com Router 3032 and Router 3035 operate over Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) for countries or locations where telephone service is offered this way. The ISDN BRI S/T port in the Router 3035 can be used as a primary or backup port to the broadband DSL connection.

The 3Com Router 3033 and Router 3034 operate using the latest business-class standard of DSL known as G.SHDSL (Symmetric High-speed Digital Subscriber Line). This standard of DSL provides symmetric broadband service for mission-critical and time-sensitive applications such as IP telephony and content delivery. The ISDN BRI S/T port in the Router 3034 can be used as a primary or backup port to the broadband DSL connection.

The 3Com Router 3036 operates over an Ethernet connection or a separate broadband modem connection.
