These switches combine wirespeed Layer 2 switching and optional dynamic Layer 3 routing with easy installation and exceptional reliability, backed by 3Com's Limited Lifetime Hardware Warranty. 10/100/1000 copper ports provide flexible desktop and workgroup attachments, which can ease migration for environments with a mix of 10/100 and Gigabit-enabled desktops and servers. Four dual-purpose slots support SFPs, connecting to fiber cabling for flexible Gigabit Ethernet backbone and server connections.

Resiliency features such as IEEE 802.1w Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol and IEEE 802.3ad link aggregation (LACP) help ensure uptime and availability.

Enterprise-class security features include IEEE 802.1X network login, RADIUS Authenticated Device Access (RADA), Auto VLAN Assignment, and Layer 2/4 access control lists for managing user access to network resources. SSH/SSL encrypted device log-in provides secure remote access for device management.
