The EMC Connectrix DS-32M2 Switch is a 32 port 2 Gb switch capable of participating in a mulitple switch fabric connecting hundreds of Fibre Channel ports. The DS-32M2 provides full fabric support, true-line speed switching and modular components.

EMC Connectrix Switches are ideal for for department or edge environments providing highly available, heterogeneous access to SAN applications, offering first class availability and management features, nondisruptive firmware upgrades, and continuous switch health monitoring.

  • Switch bandwidth: 64 Gb/sec
  • Fabric Latency: 2 microsecond max across switch
  • Max frame size: 2112-byte payload
  • Classes of Service: Class 2, Class 3, Class F (Interswitch Frames)
  • Port Types: F_Port, E_Port and G_Port. Self discovery based on connection type
  • Fabric Services: Simple Name Server, Registered State Change Notification (RSCN), Alias Server (Multicast), Zoning
  • Hot swappable: redundant power supplies, redundant cooling fans, optics
  • Standard config in EC-1200 cabinet is from 1-12 DS-32M2 switches. CLARiiON rackmount also available. Desktop config standard. 19 in rack mounting kit available separately.
