USED CISCO ETHERNET SWITCHING NETWORK MODULES
The Cisco 16-port and 36-port 10/100 EtherSwitch modules for Cisco 2600, 3600, and 3700 series routers offer branch office customers the option to integrate switching and routing in one platform. Combining robust Layer 3 flexible WAN routing with low-density line-rate Layer 2 switching, the EtherSwitch modules provide straightforward configuration, easy deployment and integrated management in a single platform.
Key features of the EtherSwitch Network Module:
- 16 or 36 10/100 switched Ethernet ports in a network module
- Line-rate Layer 2 switching across Ethernet ports
- Optional in-line power to power IP phones or Cisco wireless access points (requires external power supply)
- Port autosensing
- QoS and VLAN support from 802.1 P/Q standards
- 802.1D Spanning Tree protocol support
The Cisco 2600/3600/3700 router and EtherSwitch Modules combination also extends converged data, voice and video communications by providing IP routing, Ethernet-switching and voice-gateway capabilities in one platform which is ideal for IP Telephony deployments.
The addition of the EtherSwitch Modules also provides a single-platform solution for Data Communications Networks (DCN). Data Communications Network (DCN) is the out-of-band network that a Service Provider network operations organization uses to provide connectivity between the Operations Support Systems applications and the network elements that make up the provisioned services infrastructure that provides services for customers.
