The Warranty Parts Direct Program is a service offered to Dell Customers who wish to appoint their own chosen service provider or act as a self-maintainer. The program facilitates online service parts ordering.

When using this Program you will direct all requests for maintenance to your chosen Service Provider. Your Service Provider will deliver the break/fix service and request the replacement part from Dell. If you are self-maintainer, you will act as your own Service Provider.

The Warranty Parts Direct Parts Request Online (PRO) provides a convenient method for your service provider to enter warranty replacement service parts without contacting Dell directly, or doing telephone diagnostics. The program features:-

  • No requirement to telephone or fax Dell.
  • Access to Dell's Central Parts List (CPL)
  • Validation of the warranty and build list of the system
  • Request warranty exchange of service parts
  • Confirms your warranty request has been accepted

Who are Dell Customers?

A Dell Customer is the person or company to whom the Dell system is sold and invoiced

What does it mean to appoint a Service Provider

Dell customers who wish to enrol in the Program may wish to appoint a third party service organisation, other than Dell, to perform their computer maintenance and support. Service provider must be appointed by a Dell Customer and approved by the Dell Warranty Parts Direct Management, in order to be part of the Warranty Parts Direct Program.

Who is an Accredited Engineer?

Accredited means they are registered on Dells web site, and have taken and passed Dell’s On Line Tests (DCSE). All engineers who replace parts under warranty must be Dell Accredited, for the warranty to be claimed.

What Parts Are Covered?

All Dell Factory Fitted parts are exchanged under warranty with the exception of

  • Dell Printers, AXIM, Projectors, and PDA
  • CFI (Custom Factory Installed) – These parts are specially requested at point of system order and do not form part of Dell standard warranty
  • Third party products sold with outsourced support e.g. printers
