The HP StorageWorks 2500 Disk System provides HP Integrity and HP 9000 servers running HP-UX, direct attach storage capacity and expandability in their Fibre Channel environments. The DS2500 can hold up to 7TB by using 500GB FATA drives as each enclosure holds up to 14 hot-pluggable drives. The DS2500 supports 72GB 15K, 146 and 300GB 10K/15K, and 500GB FATA drives that can be mixed and matched in the conveniently packaged 3U, 2Gb/sec Fibre Channel enclosure. Up to 4 enclosures can be combined or daisy chained providing up to 56 total disk drives. Spanning is supported which allows the disks to be combined into one logical disk drive (requires host volume manager support). Multi-shelf direct attach storage connectivity to your HP Integrity and HP 9000 servers can be accomplished using LC/LC cables (2 to 50 meter lengths available). The HP StorageWorks 2500 Disk System provides a range of uses including boot support and HP Serviceguard support for the HP Integrity and HP 9000 servers running HP-UX 11i v1/2/3.
