The EMC Connectrix MDS 9216 Switch is a 2 Gb mutli-protocol ready switch supporting up to 48 one- or two- Gb/s auto-sensing Fibre Channel ports in a single chassis. The MDS 9216 offers intelligent networking services such as Virtual SANs (VSANs), Access Control Lists (ACLs), Fibre Channel Congestion Control (FCC) and fabric-wide Quality of Service (QoS).

EMC Connectrix Switches are ideal for for department or edge environments providing highly available, heterogeneous access to SAN applications, offering first class availability and management features, nondisruptive firmware upgrades, and continuous switch health monitoring.
