What is CA Ideal?   

CA Ideal™ for CA Datacom® is an advanced application development system that addresses every aspect of program creation and maintenance. It can be used for prototyping and is closely integrated with CA Datacom/DB Database and IBM's DB2. It provides direct access to all tables and views as well as VSAM and sequential files, and supports programs that use SQL or its own highly efficient set/based constructs. SQL can be embedded or generated by the compiler.
