The Optical Cross Connect HDX and HDXc are global, scalable multi-service, high-density intelligent optical switches which provide fully non-blocking STS-1/VC4 cross-connect capability and deliver grooming, aggregation, and restoration of SONET/SDH (155 Mbps to 10 Gbps, 40 Gbps ready), transparent wavelengths and Ethernet services. The platforms also offer extensive subtending ring capability for efficient nodal consolidation applications.

  • Future-ready platform, providing unprecedented switch capacity from 200 Gbps to over 5 Tbps.
  • Intelligent software enables full auto-discovery, network awareness and dynamic connections with differentiated Classes of Service (CoS).
  • Control plane architecture is based on the global Automatically Switched Transport Network (ASTN) standard and uses GMPLS protocols.
  • Ability to manage SONET/SDH, wavelength and Ethernet services, with full overhead and payload transparency.
  • Wavelength grooming capability down to the STS-1 level.
