The IBM eServer p5 550 is an entry level server available in an 19-inch rackmount 4U drawer or deskside package with enterprise level RAS features, LPAR support and the option of IBM Virtualisation Engine systems. Processor Capacity on Demand (CoD) functions are available as an option.
The choice of operating systems includes AIX 5L V5.2, AIX 5L V5.3, SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 9 and Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS 3.
