High-performance clones for local replication
EMC TimeFinder/Clone creates high-performance, pointer-based, full-volume clones of Symmetrix DMX volumes for data recovery and parallel processing. Designed for both open systems and mainframes, TimeFinder/Clone increases application availability and reduces downtime by enabling you to perform parallel processing activities like backups, online restores, and data warehouse refreshes—independent from the source application.
With TimeFinder/Clone, you’ll easily copy data between protection types or to larger volumes. Combine it with TimeFinder/Snap to leverage the cost savings and additional protection offered by snapshot technology. Or, for powerful online availability and disaster recovery capabilities, use it with the SRDF family of remote data replication software.

TimeFinder/Snap:
Space-saving snapshots for local replication
EMC TimeFinder/Snap creates economical, pointer-based, space-saving snapshot copies of EMC Symmetrix DMX storage volumes. Because TimeFinder/Snap copies only data that has changed, you can significantly reduce storage requirements while improving recovery-point and recovery-time objectives.
You can combine TimeFinder/Snap with TimeFinder/Clone to add the protection and functionality of a full-volume clone. For environments with demanding performance requirements use it with TimeFinder/Mirror, which provides additional protection while enhancing performance by supporting host I/O requests.
